My ex moved out of state without telling me, and is now refusing to let me see my children. I previously had visitation every other weekend, several times throughout the summer, holidays, etc. What can I do?
Your ex can’t move and deny you access to your children, but your specific rights depend on your divorce decree. The decree might contain a provision indicating an alternate visitation schedule if one party moves. It might even require your ex to tell you before moving. Whatever it says, you need to hire a lawyer to help enforce your rights. The longer you go without seeing your children, the less likely it is that the court will promptly enforce your visitation rights.
