Fort Worth Divorce Attorney

Estate Planning Consultant Karl Spahr
Karl Spahr
I am a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor Law School. I have been licensed to practice in Texas since 1981 and focused my practice over that time in Tarrant and the surrounding counties. For the first 30 years of practice, I had a general practice which gave me exposure to family law, general civil law, probate law, criminal law and bankruptcy. In more recent years, I have focused my practice primarily in estate planning and creating succession plans and protection plans for small businesses and for families.

I am married to my wife, Carolyn, and we have six children of whom we are very proud. In our time together, we have gone through the loss of family members on several occasions, and we have personally dealt with all of the stress that having a sick or dying family member can create. Carolyn and I decided years ago that we needed to help other families create plans for themselves and their families to help deal with the pain and aggravation created by those issues.

While I have done more probate cases than I can easily count, I have come to the conclusion that the best planning for a family involves methods that minimize or eliminate the contact between a family and our court system. Together with some of the best assistants anyone could ask for, I create strategies to control and transfer assets efficiently from one generation to the next and help relieve the frustration and expense of caring for elderly family members.

Our goal is to work with families to develop a customized estate plan that addresses the concerns of the individual family. We do not offer, or encourage, the use of boilerplate or template documents. Instead, we always try to find the most economic and efficient long-term plans for people. Because of my years of probate experience, I can assure anyone that the results of a well-crafted estate plan are always to be preferred to allowing strangers to control our lives and property.

My team would be happy to arrange a consultation to discuss your situation. I look forward to meeting with you.
